In loving memory of Pat, a remarkable woman who graced my life for just three short years, yet made an indelible mark on my heart. I feel truly fortunate to have been included in her world, whether it was taking her and her cherished friends—whom I affectionately named the "Golden Girls"—out for lunches or sharing moments feeding the deer that wandered into her yard, despite her playful admonitions against it.
Pat, lovingly called Sassy B, welcomed me into her home with open arms. Her captivating stories of navigating a male-dominated career field served as a testament to her strength and resilience. It was clear to everyone how deeply she loved her children and grandchildren; her pride in them shone brightly in every conversation.
Whenever faced with life’s challenges, Pat would simply say, “What are you gonna do? It is what it is.” This mantra exemplified her grace and acceptance, reminding us all to embrace life with an open heart.
While our time together was brief, the memories we created are treasures I will hold dear. Pat, you are wholeheartedly missed, and I am eternally grateful for the moments we shared. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
