Obituary of Lisa G. Palmer
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Lisa G Palmer. Lisa was 67 years old. Lisa spent many years living at the Arc of Chemung-Schuyler. Lisa is predeceased by both of her parents, and several housemates. Lisa loved everything "girly". She had her room decorated as if she were a princess (which we all knew she was!). Lisa enjoyed working down at STI for many years. She would request money every morning so she could put it in her purse with part of the dollar bill hanging out, so she could show off
to everyone that she had money.
If you knew Lisa, then you would know how sweet and silly she was. Lisa enjoyed watching cooking shows and would help the staff cook. She always found something to cheer about. Lisa loved everything Disney and Mickey Mouse and Lisa loved to go to shows at the Clemens center. Lisa could always find a way to win over just about anybody's heart. You would often hear Lisa say "yeahhhhhh" when she was excited or when some of her favorite staff would walk in the room. Lisa loved coloring and would often be found showing
off her work. The impact Lisa had on every person she came in contact with will never be forgotten. We will miss you every single day honey girl. Thank you for making us smile and laugh every day.
One thing I will always remember about Lisa, every time that she would get a new clothing item, she would go down to her room and change her outfit then would come out to show off her new outfit saying "TA-DA!" With her arms in the air. Lisa truly enjoyed being
a diva.
A big thank you to Arc New York Guardianship Program, as Lisa's advocates for many years. Lisa was also very loved and advocated by many house staff over the years.
