Lawson, Mary E. (Litts) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lawson, age 76, of Horseheads, NY, on Saturday January 17th, 2026. She was born on October 23rd, 1949 in Elmira, NY. Mary was predeceased by her parents James J. Litts and June C. (Litts) Corkins, and her longtime partner Norman Kosty. Mary is survived by a son, Jamie Lawson and her partner's sons Norman (Linda) Kosty, and Vincent (Heather) Kosty, grandsons Deverin Lawson, and Lucas Henry; granddaughter Alayna Henry; and great grandsons Archer Lawson, and Flynn Lawson; as well as Lucas and Alayna's mother, Jennifer Henry; with many extended family and dear friends. She is also survived by a sister Cindy Towner; nieces Tonia (Jon) Lloyd, and Christy (Glenn) Parsons; great niece and three great nephews. Her nieces and nephews affectionately called her Aunt Mooney. Mary worked at both St. Joseph's and Arnot Ogden Hospitals. For many years she was employed at LRC. She made many friends along the way, especially Kathy (Mike) Milliron, who was always there to lend a helping hand. Her neighbors Bob, Tammy, and Angelo were so kind and helpful to her Mary loved her family. She cherished the many decades she spent at her Seneca Lake summer home, at Rundle's Trailer Park in Valois, NY. Cats were always welcomed at her home. The last few years she enjoyed two black sister cats; they had names, but she always referred to them as "the little one' and "the big one". These curious cats provided her with much-needed comfort and companionship. It is Mary's request that there be no calling hours. Rest in peace Mary; and as she always said, "Thanks for everything!"
