Obituary of Dean P. Aldrich

Dean P. Aldrich Age 65 of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, at home. Dean was born on April 10, 1950, in Frostburg, MD, to Sidney Aldrich and the late Edith Mae (Basil) Aldrich, who predeceased him in 1995. Dean is survived by his father, the Reverend Sidney Aldrich of Horseheads, NY; brothers, Thomas (Sharon) Aldrich of Dunmore, PA, Gilbert (Charlene) Aldrich of Morristown, TN, David Aldrich and Paul (Carol) Aldrich both of Pine Valley, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Dean was a lover of the arts, in particular abstract painting and gardening. He was a member and president of the Elmira Regional Art Society, and also received the PALETTE Award. Dean was a volunteer curator at the Franklin St. Gallery in Watkins Glen. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc. 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Thursday, May 28 2015, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. In addition, family and friends are invited to call at the First Baptist Church, 2293 Grand Central Ave., Horseheads on Friday, May 29 2015, from 10:30-11:00 am where a celebration of his life will follow in church at 11:00 am; burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads.
