Obituary of Charles E. Olin

Charles E. Olin Age 84 of Bradford, NY, passed away February 20, 2016. He was born in Elmira, NY, November 24, 1931, to Charles and Annie (Pedalty) Olin. Surviving family includes his daughter and son, Donna Schnautz of Horseheads, Chuck (Nancy) Olin also of Horseheads; grandchildren, Cindy Olin of Rochester, Katie (Alex) Curren of Corning, Billy (Katelynn) Olin of Galloway, OH, Robbie Olin of Horseheads; special friend and companion, Dawn Connelly of Watkins Glen; great granddaughter, Findley; brother, Bill Olin of Beaver Dams; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Betty Olin; sister, Arlene Edger; brother-in-law, Gerald Edger; sister-in-law, Kay Olin; and son-in-law, Larry Schnautz. Co-Founders, along with his brother and father of Charles Olin and Sons on Philo Rd. in Horseheads, Charles was a Marine Corps Veteran and a dedicated hardworking man who enjoyed time spent with family. He also enjoyed countless hours at the lake, hunting and fishing. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, from 4-7:00 pm. His service will be celebrated there at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 am with burial and military honors to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
