Obituary of George L. Rumsey

RUMSEY, George L. Age 69 of Morrell Rd. Cayuta passed away unexpectedly on Mar. 1, 2016. He was born in Montour Falls, NY April 5, 1946 to Clifford and Beatrice (Grover) Rumsey. George is survived by his wife Barbara (Bale) Rumsey. Sons and daughters Steven (Kathy) Rumsey of Newfield, NY, Jason (Sharon) Rumsey of Elmira, NY Jennifer (Thomas) Rumsey-Kowal Jr. of Buffalo, NY; Grandchildren, Dakota Rumsey, Sierra Adams, Lillie Rumsey, Lauren Rumsey, Katelynn Kowal, and Thomas Kowal III. Sisters, Thais Saraceni and Nina Kohles; He was also predeceased by his brother, Clifford Rumsey Jr.. George was an avid gardener, loved turkey hunting and most of all spending time with family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Sat. Mar. 5, 2016 from 12:00 noon- 3:00 pm.
