Obituary of Marilyn J. Davis

DAVIS, Marilyn J. (Watkins) Age 86 and longtime resident of Eastview Drive in Horseheads passed away at home on Thursday morning, August 4, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, Joseph F. Davis, Sr., in 2013; and her only sibling, sister, Barbara Brown, in 2014. She is survived by her daughter and son, Pam (Robert) Bauer of Bradenton, FL and Joseph (Pam) Davis, Jr. of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Russell (Ashley) Bauer, SPC Patrick (Brittany) Bauer, Ryan and Matthew Davis; great grandchildren, Harper Rae Bauer and Nolan Robert Bauer; special niece, Michelle Masin of Wilmington, NC; and host of neighbors and friends. Marilyn was an alumna of Cornell University and ultimately retired from Southside High School as a school nurse teacher and R.N. with over 30 years of service. She was also a member of Horseheads Chapter O.E.S and past matron of Harmony Loyal Chapter O.E.S Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Monday, August 8, 2016, from 4PM to 7PM. A celebration of the Holy Eucharist will take place in Trinity Episcopal Church, 304 N. Main St., Elmira, NY on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.
