Obituary of Cheryl “Sherry” L. LaBar

LaBar, Cheryl L. (Brooks) “Sherry” age 68 of Pine Valley passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in the loving arms of her husband at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Sherry was born in Elmira to the late Raymond and Beatrice (Dibble) Brooks. Sherry is survived by her loving family, husband and best friend, Theodore J. LaBar; sons, Theodore J. LaBar, Jr. of Owego and David G. LaBar of Horseheads; special granddaughter, Tara LaBar with fiancé Jesse Rea; and special great grandson, Vincent; brother, Jackie (Chris) Brooks; special friend, Sue Wood; and many siblings; nieces and nephews; and many friends and extended family members. Sherry worked for L. R. C. for over 40 years as a solder specialist. She enjoyed her flower garden, boating and camping and racing with Larry and Laurie whom she considered as her family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Friday, October 21, 2016, from 1:00PM-3:00PM. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3:00PM.
