Obituary of Jack L. Grippin

Jack L. Grippin Age 78 of Horseheads passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the Arnot Ogden Lowman, NY, to Leonard and Ruth (Green) Grippin. Jack is survived by his mother, Ruth Grippin of Penn Yan; daughters and sons, Jamie Grippin of Pittsburgh, PA, Judy (Michael) Aukamp of Herndon, VA, Jill (Bradley) Ronkko of Mexico, NY, Julie (Ricky) Kline of Mainesburg, PA, Kurt (Carrie) Belawske of Sturgis, SD, Peter (Katie) Belawske of Atlanta, GA, Tyler (Amy) Belawske of Oswego, NY; 18 grandchildren; and one great grandchild; brother, Larry Grippin of Penn Yan; sister, Avis (Andy) Lipson of Churchville, NY; and many coworkers; neighbors; and friends including dear friends, Lorraine and Ed Davis and Cheri and Bill Thomas, and Donna Baker. In addition to his father, Jack was also predeceased by his loving wife, Kathy Grippin; sister, Lois Montgomery; niece, Lynn Lusby; and nephew, Jeremy Bogart. Jack was a longtime proprietor of Meineke Muffler in Horseheads. He was a US Army veteran, past member of the Horseheads Moose and an avid bowler, golfer and car enthusiast. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 5-7:00 PM and again on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 10-11:00 AM. His service will follow at 11:00AM.
