Marilyn R. (Mike) Pace
Age 86 of Horseheads passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016. She was born in Hornell on February 1, 1930, to the late Henry and Rachel Griffin. She was also predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Pace; and grandparents, Capitola and Clayton Kesterton. Her surviving family includes her sons and daughters: Thomas (Robin) Mike of Hammondsport, NY, Regina (Henry) Ferguson and John (Roswell Franklin) Bayne of Horseheads, NY, Pamela (Diane) Griffin and Thomas Bayne of Hornell; grandchildren, Henry Ferguson, Jr., Kerry Lea with husband, Jack Kellogg, Shawn Bayne, Timon (Bayne) Parsels, Paul Bayne and Ashley Cotter; and several great-grandchildren; stepchildren Jeff, Larry and Bob Pace and Janie (Pace) Lowery. Marilyn attended Wells College and the Hornell Business Institute; she was an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Hornell. She worked as a processor with Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Wilkes Barre, PA and locally in Horseheads at Cohen's and Rosenbaum’s. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 413 South Main Street in Horseheads on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 4-7:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at the United Presbyterian Church, 150 Main St. in Hornell, NY 14843. Burial service to follow in Rural Cemetery in Hornell. Marilyn was a great lover of animals.
