Obituary of Eldon A. DePue

DePue, Eldon A. Age 81 of Lakeland, FL and formerly of Elmira, NY passed away January 5, 2017. He was born September 26, 1935, in Elmira to Frank and Laura (Judson) DePue. Eldon was predeceased by his first wife, Ardis (Hill) DePue; and brother, Frank DePue. His surviving family includes his wife, Sonja (Salter) DePue of FL, children, Mark (Dawn) DePue of Horseheads, Pamela Rosky of Northport, FL. He is also survived by Sonja’s children and their family, Bart (Karen) Brown of Elmira, NY and Holly (Bob) Lazzerani NY, NY; grandchildren, Alex and Samantha Rosky and Jackie DePue, Andrew Brown and Nova Lazzerani; siblings, Gayle McKaig of Big Flats, Martha (George) Smith of Apopka, FL, Robert DePue of Horseheads, NY, Carla Bouille of Elmira, NY; sister-in-law, Anna DePue of Big Flats. Eldon was a retired fire fighter with the Elmira City Fire Department. He was active with the Lions Club for many years in both Elmira and Lakeland, FL. He was also an avid bowler. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 3-5:00 pm. His service will follow at 5:00 pm. Graveside service will take place on Friday in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
