Obituary of William G. Wise, Jr.

WISE, William G., Jr. Age 80 and formerly of Butler Ave. Horseheads passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born in Elmira, December 14, 1936, to William and Louise (Vollmer) Wise, Sr. Bill is survived by his daughter and son, Penny (Donald) Card of Fort Meyers, FL, Michael (Mary) Wise of Elmira Heights, NY; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother and sister, Richard (Betty) Wise of Sayre, PA and Marge Stevens of Horseheads, NY. He was also predeceased by sister, Joanne Gleason; and former spouse and love of his life, Thelma Wise. Bill was a retired machinist with Harding Inc. and proud Marine Corps Veteran. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with military honors on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 am in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats.
