Obituary of Robert W. ""Bob"" Belknap

Belknap, Robert W. “Bob” age 90, formerly of Horseheads, NY, and Spring Hill, FL, passed away on February 7, 2017, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY, after a brief illness. Bob was born in Elmira Heights, NY, in November, 1926, to Cornelius and Effie Brown Belknap. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Beatrice "Bea"; son-in-law, Gary Beers; and grandson, Maxwell Belknap. He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Robert) Rohrig, Nancy Curren Beers, Judith (Andrew) Bruns; and son, Robert (Susan) W. Belknap, Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua Curren, Jennifer and Christopher (Mallory) Rohrig, Michael (Jaclyn) and Bailey Bruns, and Alison Belknap; great-grandchildren, Camryn and Ashley Curren, Paisley, Bella, and Sawyer Bruns, Emerson and Melody Bruns Megibow and Griffin Rohrig. Bob graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. After the service he graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business School. He had a long, successful career with Westinghouse Corporation retiring in 1987 and soon after moved to Spring Hill. Bob was an avid golfer and spent his retirement years enjoying the company of wonderful friends - both old and new. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
