Obituary of Edward W. Laughlin

LAUGHLIN, Edward W. Age 89 of Murphy Hill Rd. Horseheads and longtime resident of Beaver Dams passed away Sat. Apr. 22, 2017. He was born in Corning NY to Alexander and Stella (Twilliger) Laughlin. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Frances (Waksmunski) Laughlin. Daughters and sons, Grant (Mindy) Laughlin of Horseheads, Laurie (Clinton) VanWormer of Watkins Glen, Julie Nobles of Corning; Grandchildren, Laken and Grant Laughlin Jr., Jamie (Billy) Kennedy, Courtney (Cody) Lakomy, Shelby Clark, Great granddaughters, Annalynn and Madison; Roger (Sylvia) Laughlin of Elmira; Many nieces and nephews. Ed was a US Army veteran and retired Gaffer with Corning Inc. He enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing and bowling. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Thursday from 11:30am-12:00 noon. His service will follow there at 12:00 noon with burial service with military honors to follow in Beaver Dams Cemetery.
