Obituary of Martha R. Beuter

Beuter, Martha R. Age 85 of Westlkake St. Horseheads passed away after a brief illness on Sat. June 17, 2017. Martha was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 1993; and is survived by her sons, Ronald (Linda) Beuter of Dansville, NY and Stephen Beuter of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Andrew Beuter, Shannon (Ted) Meeker, Brandon (Kelsie Anthon) Beuter; three great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Susan Potter; sister, Laura Chamberlain of Kissimmee FL; and a host of extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband, Martha was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Christine Turner. Martha was born in Elmira, NY to Hobart and Cora (Brisco) Ostrander. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Horseheads and Red Hatter. She retired from Horseheads Central School District having worked in the cafeteria there. She loved her church family, her garden and faithful companion, “Noah.” Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Wed. June 21, 2017 from 1-3:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated in the First United Methodist Church 1034 W. Broad St. Horseheads on Thurs at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
