Obituary of Wandah D. (Speary) Smith

Smith, Wandah D. (Speary) age 87 of Horseheads passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Seneca View Nursing Facility. She was born in Dundee, NY and raised in Rock Stream. Wandah was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, David F. Smith, in April 2004. She was also predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Myrtie (Storms) Speary; sisters, Kathleen Kitner and Francesca Speary; brothers, Malcolm and Norman Speary. She is survived by her daughters and son, Myrna O. Smith of Watkins Glen, NY, Glenn D. (Barbara) Smith of Horseheads, NY, and Diane D. (Douglas) Cross of Ithaca, NY; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; brother, Douglas (Iva) Speary of Watkins Glen; sister-in-law, Anna Lee Speary of Dundee, NY. Wandah was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Horseheads and Horseheads Chapter #423, Order of Eastern Star. Family and friends are invited to call at the First Presbyterian Church, 2943 Westinghouse Rd, Horseheads on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 11AM-1PM. Funeral service will be held there in church at the conclusion of calling hours at 1PM. Interment will follow in Rock Stream Cemetery, Rock Stream, NY.
