Obituary of Joan Giometti

GIOMETTI, Joan M. Age 80 of Scenic Dr. Horseheads passed away after an extended illness on Fri. Sept. 15, 2017. Joan was born in Johnson City, NY to the late, Paul and Alice (Meddaugh) Cicak. She is survived by her husband Paul Giometti, with whom she married Oct., 15, 1960; Sons, Steve (Terri) Giometti of Horseheads, NY, John (Melissa) Giometti of Culpeper, VA, Andrew Giometti of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren; Sara, Amy, Eric and Heather; Siblings, Nancy (John) Bruetsch of Conklin, NY and James Cicak of Florida; Brother-in-law, Michael (James) Giometti of Deltona, FL; A host of friends and neighbors. Joan, in her earlier years, worked at Hardinge Inc. Busy raising children, she also stayed active working in the cafeteria of St. Mary Our Mother School and was a longtime communicant of the Parish there. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cross stitching and time with family. Family and friends are invited to call at St. Mary Our Mother Church on Wed. Sept. 20, 2017 from 9:30-10:00 am prior to her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated there in the church at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery.
