Obituary of Geraldine Higgins

HIGGINS, Geraldine (Husted) on Nov. 14, 2017 at the age of 81, continued her journey, to meet her Heavenly Father, and be reunited with Ernie, her loving husband of almost 60 years; her parents, Leona and Gerald Husted; and her sister Lorraine Short. Born on December 17, 1935 in Sullivanville, NY, “Geri”, as she was commonly known, was a loving, dedicated, mother and wife. Geri leaves behind four children Gary (Nancy) Higgins, Terry Higgins, Debbie (Tom) Doolittle, Laura Higgins; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Higgins, Jonathan (Amy) Higgins, Julia Hopper, Tim (Denise) Higgins, Michelle (Rodney) McClelland, Kammie Schlesselman, and Carl (Lauren) Lewis Jr. Geri was also the great grandmother to 16 beautiful children. Geri was a prayer warrior with a strong belief in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Her main concern leaving this earthly plain was that all her family and friends would eventually join her in Heaven. Her joyous, loving soul will make this reuniting ever so sweet. Family and friends are invited to a call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads Wed.
