Obituary of Patricia A Deegan

DEEGAN, PATRICIA A. Ocala –Horseheads Patricia A. Deegan (Pat) passed away on February 24, 2018 at the age of 81. Pat was born in Garden City, NY on October 16, 1936, and daughter to the late Edward and Mary (Tynan) McLaughlin. She received her B.A. from Adelphi University and her M.A. from Elmira College in Art Education. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Thomas J. Deegan (Tom); daughter, Mary Egan (John) of Maple Grove, MN; two sons, Thomas Deegan (Susan) of Horseheads, NY, and Michael Deegan (Dolores) of Lynbrook, NY; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Pat enjoyed raising her three children with Tom in Horseheads, NY. She was an active parishioner of St. Mary Our Mother Church, and especially enjoyed singing with the church choir. Pat was very artistic, and taught Art at the former Breesport Elementary School in Breesport, NY. The couple retired to Ocala, FL in 2001, where Pat enjoyed her time socializing with friends and volunteering with the Sunshine Singers and Ocala Clown Express. Pat was a parishioner of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala, FL. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W. Broad St. Horseheads, NY on Thurs. July 26, 2018 at 9:30 am. Burial service will follow in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetey.
