RINK LIVED-RINK DIED
Reimsnyder, Robert W. “Rink” Age 71 of Horseheads passed away May 17, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Rink was born Feb 5, 1947 in Elmira, NY to the late Lester W. Reimsnyder Jr. and Martyn (Whitford) Reimsnyder. Rink served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of 2 purple hearts and unbeknown to many, was also awarded the United States Armed Forces’ third-highest personal decoration for valor in combat, the Silver Star Medal.
Rink is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia (Ferrell) Reimsnyder; loving daughter, Katherine E. Romeo; 2 tremendous grandsons, Hunter Patrick and Connor Robert Romeo; sister, Nancy Kosalek; brother, Lester W. ( Marianne) Reimsnyder III; nephews, Todd J. Kosalek, Lester (Min) Reimsnyder; niece, Sara (Corey) Rynders and sister-in-law, Maureen (Scott Breese) Ferrell and host of many friends. Rink was President of Rimco Plastics which he co-owned with his brother and sister. Rink was known to many and held the unofficial title of “A Legend in the Square of Horseheads”. In keeping with his wishes, all services will take place privately and for his immediate family.
