Obituary of Carolyn A. Ammerman

Carolyn A. Ammerman Age 91 of Horseheads, NY. She was born March 28, 1927 in Hector, NY, daughter of the late Bradford and Ruth (Kerns) Weir and passed away on Monday, November 5th 2018. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her dear husband Daniel in 1999; her daughter Diane; as well as her siblings, Roger; Barbara, and Jeanette. She is survived by her children; Scott (Nelda) Ammerman, Janet (Charles) Parenti, and Eric (Tracy) Ammerman; grandchildren, Chelsea & Claire Ammerman; Audrey & Meredith Parenti, and Keith & Michael Thomas; sister-in-law Karla Linn Merrifield; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Carolyn was active for many years with the Horseheads First Presbyterian Church. She also dedicated her time and passion as a local Girl Scout Leader in the late 1950’s and early 60’s. She will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, NY on Friday, November 9th 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm. A short memorial service with committal prayers will be offered there at 4 pm. Carolyn will be laid to rest in Maple Grove cemetery at a later date according to the wishes of her family.
