Obituary of William L. Brown Sr.

BROWN, William Sr. Age 95 of Beaver Dams passed away Monday December 3, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife, Maxine Brown on September 10, 2009. He was born Jan. 21, 1923 to Lester and Edna (Kilgore) Brown. Patricia (George) Besley of Beaver Dams, NY,Randy (Cheri) Brown of Horseheads, NY, Roxanne (Karl) Haischer of Horseheads, NY, Terry (Sally) Brown of Horseheads, NY, John (Laurie) Brown of Navarre, OH and William Brown Jr. of Montour Falls, NY; 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; daughter, Betty Jane; parents, Lester and Edna and brothers, Dale Brown and Al and Jack Lawrence. He was a member of Chemung County Posse Association and the Horseheads Grange. He was a longtime equipment operator with D & T Franzese in Watkins Glen and Flickengers in Horseheads. Bill was involved with the Rodeo, loved horses and raised several dogs. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads, NY, on Fri. Dec. 7, 2018 from 11:00 am-12:30 pm. His service will be celebrated there at the funeral home at 12:30 pm. Interment service with military honors will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery beside his daughter and wife.
