This probably will not reach any of Steve's family but wanted to post anyway.
First, my belated condolences for your loss.
Steve and I served together at MALS-13 in Yuma, AZ. We left work early every Thursday while the junior Marines were performing field day, cleaning the office and such. We went out to a local pub and threw darts. I considered him a close friend and always enjoyed his company. Unfortunately, my time at Yuma came to an end and followed orders to New York.
We didn't correspond after leaving as that seems to be the norm when Marines come and go but I had thought about him often.
Wondered where he was and how he was doing. For years I thought it would be great to somehow get in touch with him and somehow get together once more.
It was today while at work I thought, I need to see if I can find him via google or whatever means. Just his name would not produce any results but then saddened when I typed his name followed by Marine.
I was taken back a bit and could only stare at his picture, reminiscing in my mind of the good times we shared and his laugh.
If this should reach anyone, I am so very sorry for your loss and saddened with the loss of my hopes of getting together once more.
