Obituary of Verna Ruth Buchanan

BUCHANAN, Verna Ruth Age 76 of Riverview, FL, formerly of Erin, NY. She was born April 7, 1945 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Albert and Irene (Hungerford) Austin, Sr. and passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard, daughters Irene Buchanan and Ida Bailey, brother Edwin Austin. Verna is survived by her son Richard (Laura) Buchanan, Jr. of Riverview, FL; grandchildren Chase Buchanan, Allen (Rosalie) Bailey and Shannon (Ronnie Combs) Bailey; great grandchildren Ronnie, Jr, Sean, Catherine and Randall; brother Albert Austin, Jr. of Tampa, FL. Family and friends are invited to visit Barber Funeral Home, 413 So. Main St., Horseheads on Friday, June 11th from 12 to 1 pm. Her funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Scotchtown Cemetery
