Obituary of Marian C. Ryant

RYANT, Marian C. Age 92 and formerly of Grand Central Ave. Horseheads passed away Sat. Feb. 12, 2011 at Elcor Health Center. Marian was born May 9, 1918 in Corning, NY a daughter to the late Clarence and Ethel Crede. She was predeceased by her husband, Oris “Doc” Ryant, daughter, Patricia and brother, Robert Crede. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Ryant-Devine of Montour Falls, NY, Nancy (Chester Hatstat) Ryant of Alexandria, VA; Granddaughter, Jenn Hatstat also of Alexandria, VA; Special friend and longtime companion Carl Raniewicz of Elmira Heights, Niece, Lia Crede of Rochester, NY and many friends. Marian was retired from Bendix Eclipse and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Elmira Heights Chapter. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association and avid supporter of the Clemens Center and Tanglewood Nature Center. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads, Tuesday Feb. 15, 2011 from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 pm. Her service will take place on Wed. Feb. 16, 2011 at 11:00 am. Burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
