Obituary of Elizabeth V. Olin

OLIN, Elizabeth V. “Betty” Age 85 of Horseheads and formerly of Philo Rd. West in Elmira passed away Sun. Feb. 20, 2011. Betty was born Apr. 25, 1925 in Elmira, NY, a daughter to the late Frank and Gladys (Walbridge) Rolls. She is survived by her husband, Charles Olin; Son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Nancy Olin and daughter, Donna Schnautz all of Elmira, NY; Grandchildren; Cindy Olin, Katie (Clifford Sweithelm) Schnautz, Billy (Katelynn Reed) Olin, Robbie Olin; Brother, Frank Rolls Jr. of Elmira, Brother-in-law, William (Kay) Olin of Beaver Dams; Betty “Aunt Chi Chi” was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Gladys; Sister-in-law, Sally Rolls; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Arlene and Gerald Edger; and son-in-law Larry Schnautz; Betty was employed in her earlier years at Hardinge Inc. and later worked with her son at Charles Olin and Sons on Philo Rd. She was a communicant at St, Patrick’s and St. Mary Our Mother Church, member of the Tuesday Morning Club and a devoted QVC supporter. She loved crafts and above all her grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads, today Tues. Feb. 22, 2011 from 2-4:00 and again from 7-9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W. Broad St. Horseheads on Wed.
