Obituary of Cynthia L. Burdick

Cynthia Burdick "Mema" was born August 3, 1951 in Cherry Tree PA, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by daughter Kristina Hooey; granddaughters and personal caregiver Brianna Hooey, Emma Gibson; grandson Kameron Gibson; great granddaughters Peyton Hooey-Wolf and Rahniya Hooey along with her father Ryan Booker; sisters Georgeann Copestick of Minnesota and Bonnie Lacombe of New Mexico. She is also survived by her special friends Carol Wilcox, Sharon Smith, Sue Teets along with many other family and friends. Cindy was predeceased by her husband Jack Burdick, father Theodore Mansell and mother Marguerite Mansell, along with many other family and friends. Cindy belonged to many different organizations including Women of the Moose, TAE forever friends, Order of Eastern Star, Twin Tier Susan G. Komen. She graduated from TAE in 1969 and CCC with an associate's degree in 1993.The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Cindy such as painting, crocheting, arts and crafts. She found much joy watching Bob Ross and spending time with her family and friends. We will continue to honor her legacy by living our lives to the fullest. There will be no calling hours or viewing per Cindy's request. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1476 416 West Franklin Street Horseheads, NY 14845 on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
