Obituary of Barbara J. Brown

Brown, Barbara J. Age 77 of Horseheads, NY. She was born October 24, 1944 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Albert and Shirley (Hunt) Russ and passed away Friday, May 13, 2022. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Stuart Brown; grandchildren Craig, Jr. and Jillyanna; sister Suzanne Westbrook. She is survived by her children Janet Roberts of NC, Judi (Jim) Horton of Horseheads, Joy (Craig) Kimble of Athens, PA and Roy (Susan) Proper of Horseheads; grandchildren Lisa, Crystal, Jacob, Jordan, Jamilyn. Corey, Mitchell, Devin, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Sarah and Rachel; 6 special stepchildren and several step grandchildren along with several great grandchildren; very special brother-in-law Larry Westbrook. Barbara was an active member of Breesport Baptist Church. She graduated from Southside High School; spent most of her career as a home care nurse; was an LPN at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed long drives around the lakes and loved her dog Honey. Family and friends are invited to visit Breesport Baptist Church, 1811 N. Chemung Rd., Breesport on Monday, May 23rd from 5 to 6 pm. Her memorial service will follow at 6 pm. Private interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
