Obituary of James L. Davies

James L. Davies Age 89 of Horseheads, NY. He was born March 3, 1933 in Elmira, son of the late John and Pearl (Thayer) Davies and passed away Wednesday. August 24, 2022. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Edna, son Bruce and daughter Carla. James is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Alan of Elmira, Eric & Brenda of Horseheads; grandchildren Denise (Jamie) Baker of Horseheads, Brad (Christy) Davies of Horseheads, Andrea (Brian) Stein of Elmira, James Davies, Matthew Davies, William (Alisha) Garlock, David (Wendy) Garlock, Michael Garlock, Joseph (Melissa) Davies of Milton, TN and Renee (Christopher) Cady of Horseheads; several great grandchildren; sisters Carol Moran of Horseheads and Judy Shanley of Millport along with several nieces and nephews. James owned and operated Davies Contracting & Remodeling in Horseheads, retiring in 1993. Family and friends are invited to visit Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads on Saturday, September 10th from 2 to 4 pm. His memorial service will follow at 4 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
