Obituary of Michael Davidson

Michael Davidson Age 79 of Corning, NY. He was born May 2, 1943, the son of the late Jack and Margaret Mikkelsen and passed away at home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his in-laws, Francis and Dorothy LaBore; brother-in-law Robert E. LaBore; and niece Stephanie LaBore. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Audrey (LaBore); sister-in-law Susan LaBore; niece Stacy (Tom) Witzel; along with his dear canine companion, Foxy; extended family and many dear friends. Michael served in the U.S. Army before returning to Elmira, where he worked for the City of Elmira and opened the 'Paint Box', a supply store on Pennsylvania Avenue. He was a wonderful guy and is remembered fondly as an animal lover, and a comical, patient man with quite the sense of humor. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Michael's funeral service will be held there at 3 pm. Committal and interment with military honors will be held with his family at a later date; Michael will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Elmira.
