Obituary of Marian R. Reynolds

Reynolds, Marian R. (Kowalski). Age 95 of Horseheads, NY. Marian was born on September 26th 1927 in Big Flats, NY, daughter of the late Stephen and Rose (Malanoski) Kowalski. She passed away peacefully at home on the Wednesday morning, January 4th 2023. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her dear husband, Charles E. Reynolds, in 1982. She is survived by her children Steven (Maureen) Reynolds of Endicott, NY, Carol (Paul Redfern) Reynolds of Binghamton, NY, Paul Reynolds, Mark (Susan) Reynolds, both of Horseheads, NY, and Joanne (Lynn) Stanton of Newport, NC; along with a host of beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. Marian was the heart and soul of her family. A longtime communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Catholic Church in Horseheads, she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Outside of her home Marian devoted herself to many organizations including the Friends of the Horseheads Library, Big Flats Senior Group, and especially her time as a Den Mother to Boy Scouts of America Troop 32. She enjoyed volunteering at the Clemens Center in Elmira, NY, while also lending her time working for the Horseheads Central School District, Lights Bakery, and Planned Parenthood. She will be remembered by all those whose lives she touched, and cherished by her family that she raised. Private services will be held to celebrate her long and well lived life. Those wishing may honor Marian with a donation to The Clemens Center and/or Planned Parenthood.
