Obituary of Mary Catherine Fox

Mary Catherine (Koyne) Fox went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at home in Tucson, AZ at the age of 94. She was born to Thomas A. Koyne and Alma E (Swartout) Koyne on August 4, 1928 in Elmira, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Wayne) Frey, Thomas (Sandy) Fox of Tucson, AZ and David (Cindy) Fox of Mount Pleasant, NC, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, cousins, Lois Betzel of St Johns, GA, Marilyn Jago of Sullivanville, NY and Marian Oldroyd of Elmira Heights,NY, nieces, nephews, and friends which include her wonderful team from Soulistic Hospice. She is predeceased by her husband Paul E Fox who she was married to for almost 75 years, her parents, in-laws, foster daughter Debra (Marcy) Miller, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She graduated from Elmira Free Academy in Elmira NY and attended Mansfield State College in Mansfield, PA. with a major in music. Mary lived a long and fulfilling life, she loved her family and had a kind and gentle nature. She loved music, playing the piano, writing poetry, her pets and traveling to see family. When she lived in Dannemora, NY, she directed the choir in the Methodist Church. She also took care of 19 Foster children through the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all. Her burial will take place June 3rd at 2pm in Scotchtown Cemetery, Erin, NY.
