Obituary of Elizabeth Degraw

Elizabeth (Stocum) Degraw Age 91 of Elmira, NY. She was born May 12, 1932 in Montour Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Jesse E. and Florence (Hagan) Stocum. She passed away peacefully on June 1st 2023. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband James R. DeGraw. She is survived by their children William “Bill” (Holly) Degraw, Cindy (Gregory) Grant, Lois (Gary) Travis, and James "Jimmy"(Laurianna) Degraw; along with her dear extended family and friends. Elizabeth had a love of flowers, especially African Violets, and enjoyed quilting in her spare time. Known as Betty to her friends and family she was a long-time crafter and craft vendor alongside her daughter. She was skilled at quilting, crocheting and doll making, making snowman ornaments until she was 90. Betty was a vendor at the Windmill from 1986 until 2000. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Family and friends are invited to visit the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., in Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, June 6th 2023 from 11 to 12 noon. Private committal will be held at the wishes of her family.
