Obituary of David Edwin Leach

David Edwin Leach Age 75, of Elmira, NY was born July 7, 1948 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Earl Edwin and Vera Louise (Copp) Leach. David passed away peacefully after a courageous battle on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation in Corning, NY. David is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Leach; beloved son, Michael Leach; 2 adored grandchildren. Dave was a Veteran of the United States Air Force proudly serving his country from 1968 to 1974 during the Viet Nam War. He retired from Hardinge Inc. after several years of dedicated service. Dave very much enjoyed car shows and collecting classics of his own. He was a member of the VVA and often volunteered at the museum. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Barber Funeral Home 413 South Main Street Horseheads, NY on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm to Celebrate his life. VVA member and friend, Joe Kopac will officiate. Interment will take place on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in the Ollifftown Rosemary Church Cemetery in Metter, GA.
