Obituary of Beverly J. Flisnick

Beverly J. Flisnick (Ostrander) Age 93 of Horseheads, NY. She was born July 31, 1930 in Burdett, NY, the daughter of the late Lewis and Gladys (Dunham) Ostrander. Beverly passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday October 17th 2023. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Flisnick in 1985. Beverly is survived by her sister: Joyce Greenberg of CA, nieces and nephew Terri R. Greenberg-Cohen, Laurie Ann Greenberg, and Michael Greenberg; along with many dear friends, extended and Church family. A long-time communicant of the First Presbyterian Church of Horseheads, Beverly served the congregation as a Deacon and Elder, was very active in the choir, and even filled in on the church organ when the need arose. She retired from Westinghouse Corp, in Horseheads after a long career. She was very active; often seen riding her bike around town. In her spare time, she enjoyed participating with the Barber Shop Chorus, and was a an active volunteer and supporter of Meals on Wheels. A Memorial Service in Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, October 25th 2023 at 1 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Horseheads, 2943 Westinghouse Road, Horseheads, NY with Rev. Aaron Frank officiating. Committal and interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads. Those wishing may honor Beverly with a donation in her name to her church or to Meal on Wheels.
