Obituary of Ronald Harry Fields

Ronald H. Fields Age 78 of Big Flats, NY. Ron was born in Montour Falls, NY on October 26th 1945, the son of the late Ernest A. and Marion L. (Packard) Fields. He passed away on Monday, January 29th 2024. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ernest Fields in 2013. Ron is survived by his son Kenneth (Martha Saia) Fields; daughter Cassandra (Michael) Wright; grandchildren Maddesen (Peter) Inirio, and Cameron Wright; great grandchild Ellie Inirio; brother James Fields; sisters Dena Irby, Louise (Chris) Harvey, and Christine (Allen) Lampman. Ron served in the Army; drafted to Vietnam in December 1966 and receiving an Honorable Discharge in November 1968. He made a career and retired from what became U.S. Salt, in Watkins Glen, and spent 20 years working with the Gibson Volunteer Fire Dept. Private services with his family will be held. Burial at Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats, NY.
