Obituary of Jeffrey M. Heffer

Jeffrey Heffer, age 81, of Horseheads, NY, died peacefully in his sleep at home after a long battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Rochester to the late James and Mildred Heffer and graduated college with an associate’s degree in Industrial Technology from Corning Community College. He made a career as an Industrial Mechanic for Seneca Foods in Mount Morris, NY. Jeff also served for three years (1959-1962) in the U.S. Army, serving with 1st Missile Battalion, 4th Artillery, Cambria, NY. He loved all things automotive, especially racing stock cars, which he did well into his 50's. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years Linda, his daughter Sharon, and brother Lance.
