Dear Bernice and family,
Growing up on the Murphy farm in Hector, one of the highlights was having Buster come and shoe some of the horses. It was a delight watching him work with the horses. After so many years then to meet you both again at the ""Puffer''s"" concert in Newfield was a real joy and brought back so many good memories. Buster will be greatly missed, but we look forward to seeing him again soon in our Heavenly home. May the Lord comfort you until that day.

My heart is very heavy for your family at this time. I have such wonderful memories of the farm and being treated as family. yes, I remember doing chores too. The memory of Buster''s smile always made me smile, it was a feeling of warmth and kindness. I also remember great stories that he told. All the times with 4-H. are endless. Know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I still miss my Dad daily and always will. Sincerly Nancy Wixson

Dear Bernice and Family,
I''m sure you all know how much Buster meant to me. He took the time to teach me the love of shoeing a horse, he was always there when I needed to ask him a question.
I always enjoyed when he phone to check on me and always enjoyed when I phone to check on him.
I loved to see him drive in my driveway for a visit or to come sit by my campfire. I''ve missed our trail rides and campfires, Oh how I loved his stories of shoeing horses and his travels.
I will miss the times I would take him on a road trip with me, to keep me company and listen to more of his stories and shoeing tales
I really miss our days of trail riding, when Bernice would let him go with me because she knew I would take good care of him, give him a safe horse to ride and watch out for him in his later years, for this I thank you so much, we grew very close in all of these trips we took.
I loved our afternoon tea and visits when I stopped on my way home from work. He was always happy to have me stop and share some time with him.
At our last visit a couple of weeks ago, before I left, he made sure we held hands for a while, as if he knew it would be out last visit together, I was sure there was going to be more, but there wasn''t.
And just a week before, he had Bernice drive him out to the farm, to see where I had moved. Even tho he couldn''t get out and walk around, he was happy to see it, and I was so happy to see his truck pull in the driveway.
Buster, you have and will always hold a special spot in my heart, I will truly miss you. You were my Best Friend.
I''ll see you on the trail someday, over that Rainbow Bridge where all of our Horses and Dogs we loved, will be waiting to go on a trail ride with us.
Love,
Keith

Please accept my condolences to the family of ""Buster."" I knew him when I was young, as well as my parents, Glen and Mary Rogers who lived on the Ridge Rd. He was a great man...I remember the story when Buster saved a horse that was mired in the mud. Buster was so strong, picked the horse up out of the mud, and saved its life. Buster was a person who would help anyone in need. When I was about 16, I was helping my brother-in-law, Carl Turner hurriedly put hay away as there was storm coming. Buster happened to be driving by, jumped out of his truck, and gave us a hand. He was so strong, he took a bale in each hand, and threw them up onto the hay wagon. Me, I was struggling with one. I knew and was also a friend of his brother, David. I wish very much to be able to attend the service; however, my granddaughter is graduating from high school (Owego) on Sat., 6/25 and party to follow up in Owego. Again, my heartfelt sympathy to all...Sincerely, Glenn Rogers, Jr., Waverly, NY. P.S. I am most sure I graduated with the minister (from Horseheads Class of 1959) who is performing the service!
