Obituary of Robert VanAlstyne

VAN ALSTYNE, ROBERT C. Age 83 of Hillview Drive, Big Flats and formerly a longtime resident of both Auburn and Florida, passed away July 26, 2011 at Founders Pavilion in Corning, NY. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret , Oct 16, 2008; He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Ritner Page of Big Flats and with whom he had resided; grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Micah and Rebekah; He was predeceased by his son, Mark in 1983 and brother, Adelbert VanAlstyne Jr. Bob attended First Baptist Church in Horseheads and was a US Army Air force veteran. He had a career in sales working for WMBO Radio in Auburn and also for the Truckers Buying Guide located in NJ. Family and friends are invited to call at the First Baptist Church 2293 Grand Central Avenue, Horseheads on Fri July 29, 2011 from 2-3:00 pm where his service will follow in church at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Finch officiating. Interment to take place at a later date in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
