Obituary of Katherine A. Soriano

SORIANO, Katherine A. Age 69 of Elmira and Horseheads passed away Sept. 9, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Katherine was born in Brooklyn, NY to Thomas and Josephine Santise. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Soriano in 2003 and son-in-law, Fred Kaffke in 2009. She is survived byher daughter, Lisa (John O’Connor) Soriano-Kaffke of Elmira, NY; son, Mark Soriano of Hawley, PA; grandchildren, Brittnay, Matthew, Danielle, Vincent and Sabrina. Sister, Rosemarie (Frank) Pagano of Staten Island, NY, many nieces and nephews; Several in laws, neighbors, friends and caregivers including and with a special thanks to Jenniffer Mullen with Southern Tier Hospice. Katherine was the Co-founder and National Vice President of the Guardians of Hydrocephalus Research Foundation in Brooklyn, NY. Friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Tues. Sept. 13, 2011 from 2-4:00 and again from 6-7:00 pm. Her service will follow at the funeral home at 7:00 pm. Burial service will take place in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery.
