I am Ruth's niece. Over the last 10 years I was very impressed with how sharp Earl's mind was and his lovely sense of humor. We would play cards usually once a month (except for the winter months). I was also very impressed with the caring attitude that he had for my Aunt Ruth. I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

Earl was my 6th grade teacher. I a niece of Ruth's. I live outside of Albany but would visit my mother at least once a month. Each time I came down I would try and get together with Aunt Ruth and Earl to play cards. I was always impressed by how sharp Earl's mind was. I really appreciated his calm and humor. I loved to see how he cared for my Aunt Ruth because she was a favorite aunt to me. I will miss Earl and am sorry for your loss.

Dear Rod, Bev and family,
Though we did not know your dad, we knew a fair amount about him through your fond memories that you have shared with us over the years about Earl. You and your family are part of his legacy for he certainly taught you all faith, honesty, goodness and hard work ethics. We are sorry for the sadness in your hearts these days. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Bruce and Carol
