Obituary of Edna G. Davies

Age 75, passed away on Monday evening surrounded by her loving family, February 22, 2010 at the Arnot-Ogden Medical Center. Edna was born in Elmira, NY on October 31, 1934 daughter to the late Guy and Ethel (Harrington) May. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, James L. Davies, children, Bruce W.(Dianne) Davies of Tampa, FL; Alan M. of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; Carla J. (Terry) Garlock of Moss Point, MS; Eric C. (Brenda) Davies of Horseheads, grandchildren, Denise (Jamie) Baker, Brad (Christy) Davies, Andrea (Brian) Stein, James and Matthew Davies, William (Alisha) Garlock, David (Wendy) Garlock, Michael Garlock, Joseph Davies, Reneé (Christopher) Cady, numerous great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Judith Shanley and Carol (Bill) Moran, brother-in-law, George Glidden, many nieces and nephews and family friends. In addition to her parents, Edna is predeceased by her sister, Zedena Glidden, brother-in-law, George Shanley. She was a former LPN of Arnot-Ogden Medical Center and an administrative assistant at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A crafty person, she enjoyed painting, gardening and crocheting. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Fri. Feb. 26, 2010 4-7:00 p.m. Her funeral services will take place there at the funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will take place privately in Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the families convenience.
