Obituary of Lucille Osterhoudt

OSTERHOUDT, Lucille K. “Dolly” Age 81 of Watkins Rd. Pine Valley passed away after an extended illness on Thurs. May 17, 2012. She was born in Elkland, PA to Benjamin and Helen (Cutash) Sheppa. Lucille was predeceased by her husband, James in 1999. Her surviving family includes her daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and David Mallow of Pine Valley, NY, Diana and Ron Gay of Branchport, NY, Alan VanGorden of Horseheads, NY; Grandchildren, Brittney, MacKenzie and Jorianna Mallow and Jen, AJ and Nick VanGorden; Nieces, Brenda (Vance) Steadman, Sandy (Jim) Brass and Sherry (Roy) Vargeson and many friends including Klyda Pierce of Elmira. Dolly was also predeceased by her brother and sister, Doris Pratt and Benjamin Sheppa. Dolly was retired from Anchor Glass, the former Thatcher Glass in Elmira where she was a gauge inspector. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed her pets and watching birds. Dolly was also a devoted NY Yankee Fan, Bull Riding and NASCAR enthusiast and always the time spent with family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads, NY on Mon. May 21, 2012 from 1-3:00 pm and again from 5-6:00 pm where her service will follow at 6:00 pm. Interment beside her late husband James in Maple Grove Cemetery.
