Obituary of John C. Theetge

John Claude Theetge “Jack” Age 85 of Moss Hill Road, Horseheads went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 very unexpectedly. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Jones Theetge; daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Larry Morgan of Horseheads whom he also loved as a son; sisters, Rosalie Vondracek of Cayuta, Marian Morgan of Prior Lake, MN; special nephew, Milford Doland; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Ted Jacobus, Harold and Anna Jones, Barbara and Walter Johnson, Warren Austin, Kathleen and Thomas Johnson; and several nieces and nephews and many friends including, special friends Bob and Loretta Feichtner and their children. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Joanna Enderle Theetge; in-laws, Kenneth and Helen Branch Jones; sisters, Elizabeth Austin and Helen (Francis) Smith; brother, Harold (Mildred) Theetge; brothers-in-law, Paul Jones, George Vondracek and Donald Morgan. Jack was a World War II Veteran of the US Army and often talked of his time in Germany. Jack was a master pattern maker having retired from Ingersoll Rand after 33 years of service. He would have received his 61 year pin in March. Nothing made Jack happier than to be working with his hands creating heirlooms and taking care of his family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to help those he loved. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 1-3:00 p.m. where his service will also be celebrated at the conclusion of calling hours at 3:00 p.m. The Rev. Richard Hack will officiate. In lieu of flowers those wishing may also remember Jack with memorials to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 209 Gardner Road, Horseheads NY 14845. Burial service with military honors will take place in Rural Home Cemetery.
