Obituary of Phyllis L. Walker

WALKER, Miss Phyllis L. Age 86 of the Courtyards at Bethany Village and longtime resident of South Main Street, Horseheads, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Phyllis was born in Covington, PA, the daughter of the late Lewis and Lucy Corbin Walker. She was retired from Westinghouse Corp., Horseheads, NY and was a member of the First Baptist Church Of Horseheads. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen West; and brothers, William Walker and Alvah Walker. Phyllis is survived by her nephews, Norman West of MO and John Walker of FL; nieces, Deborah Davis and Barbara Weaver both of FL; her dear friends, Virginia Bell; Barbara Havens, Sandy Taylor all of Horseheads, NY; and many dear church friends who survive and predeceased her who truly were a big part of her family. Family and friends are invited to attend her calling hour to be held Monday, February 11, 2013 from 10-11:00 am in the First Baptist Church Of Horseheads, 2293 Grand Central Avenue, Horseheads, NY. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Robert Finch officiating. Burial will take place in the Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA.
