Obituary of Doris A. Fleming

FLEMING, Doris A. Age 87 of Horseheads passed away Feb. 9, 1013 at Elcor Health Center where she had been residing. She was born Nov. 14, 1925 in Hornby, NY to Holly and Eunice (Stanton) Stephen. Doris was predeceased by her husband James A. Fleming in 2007; brother Eben Stephen and sister, Gladys Horton. Her surviving family includes her son, Donnie (Mary Anne) Fleming of Elmira, NY; Daughters, Bonnie (Larry) Silvernail of Glen Allen, VA, Victoria (Mike) Metcalf of Fair Oaks, CA , Susan (Richard) Locke of Horseheads, NY and Twila (Philip) Little of St. Augustine, FL; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet (Donald) Wales of Millerton, PA and many nieces and nephews. Doris loved family time and playing cards. She retired from Elcor Health Center as a nurses’ aide. It was her request to have no prior services; burial service will take place at the convenience of her family.
