Obituary of Richard C. Levanduski

LEVANDUSKI, Richard C. Age 80 of Sunset Terrace, Elmira, NY went home to be the his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sat. Feb. 9, 2013. Richard was born August 9, 1932 in Elmira, NY, the son of Frank and Anna (Seidel) Levanduski. He was predeceased by his brother, Bob and sister, Mildred. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; his children, Dawn (Todd) Conklin of Elmira, NY, Michael (Wendie) Levanduski of Elmira Heights, NY, Kimberly (Colin) Craddock of Parma, MI, and Robert (Colette) Levanduski of Elmira, NY; Sisters, Teresa Petit and Mary (Derek) Brook; grandchildren, David Elwell II, Jordan (Sarah) Conklin, Jessica (Eric) Grant, Brandon Levanduski, April Craddock, and Kevin (Jenny) Craddock; great grandchildren, Hunter and Payton Grant, Evan and Katie Craddock and several dearly loved nieces and nephews. Dad was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army, a printer by trade, eventually owning his own business-Daystar Printing. He had a passion for hunting and fishing- which he passed down to his sons and grandsons, became a master gardener and was a well-known beekeeper around our area. But his legacy that will live on, long after he’s gone, is his love for his family, and the lives he touched with the love of Jesus. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dad’s life at a memorial service, Saturday February 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, 150 Victory Highway, Painted Post, NY 14830- with Pastor, Paul Piraino officiating; and for those who are unable to attend, there will be a time of visitation on Friday February 15, 2013 from 4-6:00 pm at Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads NY. A private committal service will be held at a later date in Woodlawn National Cemetery, in Elmira, NY.
