Obituary of Paul C. Mattison
MATTISON, Paul Charles
Age 83 and longtime resident of Hickory Grove Rd., in Horseheads passed away September 28, 2013. He was born Sept 8, 1930 in Gibson, NY to Lester H. Mattison and Irene M. (Folmar) Bliss
He married Joyce Marie (Williams) Mattison on October 8, 1950 his wife of nearly 63 years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons and daughters,

He was predeceased by his parents, step-father, Earnest Bliss, brother, Lester Mattison, brother-in-law, William Bruielly, and sister-in-laws, Justine Mattison, D. Jean Beeman and Darlene Yochum.
Paul was a member of the Big Flats United Methodist Church and Horseheads Elks Lodge #2297.
He was a retired Scientific Glassblower having worked for Corning Apparatus Plant, Big Flats, NY, and later retired from Westinghouse Inc. and Mirion Technologies, Inc., Big Flats.
He was also an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Most of all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Maranatha Bible Chapel, 774 Sing Sing Rd., Horseheads on Thurs., Oct. 3, 2013 from 5-7:00 pm. His service will be celebrated there by his son, the Rev. Paul Mattison at 7:00 pm. His graveside service will take place on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats. All are invited to meet at 10:30 am at Barber Funeral Home for a procession to the cemetery.
