Obituary of Roxana Lewis

LEWIS, Roxana Lee Age 73 of Horseheads passed away after an extended illness Fri. Dec. 27, 2013. Roxana was born in Elmira to Ernest and Belva (Randall) Bower on June 15, 1940. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl in 1991. Her surviving family includes her daughter and son, Elizabeth (Laura) Hausburg of Trappe, MD, Wayne (Marycarla) Hausburg of West Henrietta, NY;Grandchildren,Amanda (Thomas) Bach, Michael Hausburg, great granddaughter, Carly Bach; Longtime companion, Al Butler also of Horseheads; Sister, Sharon Overacker of Horseheads; Cousins, Kathy (Craig) Spencer, Amy (Abdel Mallouk) Bush, and Jennifer Bush; Nieces and nephews including, Brett (Rosemary) Overacker, Michelle (Sal) Cicconi and Elaine McGettrick and several other family members and friends. She was also predeceased by her aunt, Jean Ann Bush and brother-in-law, Blaine Overacker. Roxana was retired from Tops Friendly Markets in Horseheads she enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Thurs. Jan. 2, 2014 from 3-6:00 pm. Her service will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am with burial service to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads condolences and remembrances may be left and viewed at www.barberfuneralhome.com.
