Obituary of Catherine Ford

Catherine R. Ford Age 61 of Ridge Road, Horseheads and longtime resident of West Sullivanville Road, went home to be with her Lord, after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was born December 25, 1952 in Elmira, NY to Calvin Sr. and Patricia (Hart) Ford. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, John in 2003 and brothers-in-law, Carl Bailey in 2009 and Gordon Redeye in 2003. She is survived her brother and sisters, Calvin Ford Jr. of Elmira, Patricia Bailey of Horseheads, Zella Ann Redeye of Millport; special Aunt, Charlotte Billings of LeRaysville, PA; several nieces and nephews including, Colleen (Marty) Killorin, Crystal (Donnie) Bolt, Sonia (Darrell) Lingerfelt, Matthew (Laura) Ford, Michael Manwaring, Calvin Ford III, Jennifer (Glen) Winchell; nephew and god son, Sean Ford; grandnieces and grandnephews, James, Riley, Siobahn, Rose, D.J., Kyle, Katie, Savannah; many close and caring friends including longtime High School friend, Toni Fasick of Big Flats and K-9 pals “Obie” and “Buddy”. Cathy was a 37 year employee of Tops in Horseheads where she worked in the Meat Department. Above all she was a caring women who always put her family first and who enjoyed that time spent with her family as well as the time spent at the “Ford Street” Camp in PA. She was also an avid NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan and a lover of animals. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm. Her service will follow there at 3:00 p.m. The Rev. Sidney Aldrich will officiate.
